Oops! Tim Cook tweets photo of Mac production line running Windows

Well, there’s apparently one good thing Microsoft’s Windows is good at: running the software necessary to manufacture Apple’s Mac computers.
And the messenger of this information? Apple chief executive Tim Cook himself. On Thursday, Cook tweeted a photo of himself touring Apple’s Austin, Texas production line where the Apple Mac Pro is manufactured.
The problem? Right behind Cook is an iMac—and it’s clearly running Windows.
Cook apparently didn’t notice his glitch. This could be a case of Twitter naivete, as Cook only has 64 tweets to his name, and he may not realize the full impact of his Twitter megaphone. His photos are favorited and retweeted thousands of times, but just a few people noticed the Windows issue. Those people, however, began commenting upon it.
“Made in America, with Microsoft Windows (look closely),” Steven Webster tweeted.
“@PeterrWLFC @ryandolan123 Macs are made on Windows which then allows android to be made on the mac. :)” user RBXcmn65 added.

So what? I'm running windows on my iMac right now. everybody goes slumming once in a while
ETA: Now show me a Windows machine running OSX at Dell or some such and I'll say that's news.

It's not that shocking really. Unless they want to build their own manufacturing software then a Windows version might have been the only option. At least now the Macs are Intel based. 10 years ago that might have been a Windows PC.

But why ? If Apple is so superior.

This is a stupid point to make considering that Windows does not care what it runs on while Apple requires an Apple system ONLY because apple chooses to check for a specific chip to do so. A dell could easily run OSX you just have to run a hack to trick it or you can setup a virtual system.

I have legacy Office software that requires me to go slumming. Thankfully I'm about to transition to a cloud based version and I won't need to anymore.

Ummm the point is the OP is acting like it's news to see an iMac running Windows. What is this 1998?
And so what if a Dell can be hacked to run OSX? I said it'd be news if Dell was indeed running OSX, not if it was possible.
As an aside I do note that whatever is running in the OP, it's not Windows 8....or 8.1 or whatever.

I run VM on my imac because there is a single program I need by Lockheed and they have yet to release a version for mac
I am told they are working on it though

Really??
Because I thought the point the OP was trying to make was that the CEO of Apple tweeted a photo of his major rival being used to build his systems.

What about the image given makes you believe its an Apple running Windows to begin with? Just curious? Apple Monitors don't work with PC's? I cant tell is that an apple keyboard under it? Is that the iMac?

What's the point? I use cow manure to fertilize my hibiscus plants. I get gorgeous Hibiscus blooms.
But what I used to grow it was still a pile of crap...

I just find this thread interesting because the same crowd loves to chime in on the Google CEO using a blackberry etc..
