When I first heard about MCC I could not wait to play Halo 2 again. As we get closer I find myself more excited to play Halo 1 on Xbox live for the first time. Such a skill based game with little bs.

I agree with this. But I still think Im slightly more excited to play 2. But At first I was like all about 2. started thinking about how awesome it will be to play CE

I'm still overly excited about getting H2 back. I will play H1, but I started off playing H2. You guys could probably teach me a lot about CE, being that I've only played it a few times on LAN. I've watched tons of CE gameplay of guys like Ogre 1and 2, Strange Purple, Killer N, Zyos, etc on YouTube.

We played CE LAN a lot but nothing compared to H2. even though we had online we would LAN it a ton.
I never got big into Custom games in H2 so im really looking forward to playing those random games like tower of power or whatever it was called

Man, we had some huge H2 LAN parties back then. Never less than 16 people. We had one that was pretty much a full blown house party. Every room was filled with people. TV's and Xbox's in every room (some had 2/3) in the house with cords running everywhere. I miss those times.

At one point we had a Halo 1 or 2 lan every single weekend from 01-07. We still lan 1 and 2 pretty often but not every weekend. The original Halo 1 lans always had 16 ppl. We played 8v8 CTF Blood Gulch(last between 1 to4 hours) then we played team shotties on Derelict. If the original Blood Gulch game was a blowout or somebody started shite talking teams would change and we'd play 8v8 CTF Sidewinder (last 1 to 4 hours) and if we had time we'd run another CTF on Blood Gulch. If not we'd run a Hang Em High CTF. My buddy has the record at our Lan for most kills in a gulch game. 678 kills. In that game the second most kills was 498. The previous record was 552. He'll be playing MCC a good bit with me as well as my other good buddy. We'll have a solid 3 playing pretty often.

We never played games that long. Not even close. Most I ever got was 127. Coagulation CTF with a 30 minute time limit. Sniper rifle and Gauss Hog destroyed on Coag.

Yea you get 2 good teams on Blood Gulch and have a good setup it's gonna take at least 2 hours to finish the game. You gotta realize we played this so much everyone had a role and they were good at it. I was a middle man/attacker. Some players were strictly tankers unless control of a their tank was lost. Some players only defended. Players knew what weapons they could pick up and what they couldn't. For example a in base defender should never touch a sniper. Attackers used vehicles and relentlessly put pressure on the opposing base and died a ton while middle men attackers slayed in the middle and tried to gain control so returning a flag could succeed. Sometimes teams would designate a defending sniper that got behind the base and only shot when someone was a threat to get the flag(took crazy will power).
So many games within the game that made it so great.
Halo 2 our longest games were Zanzibar 1 CTF. We tried using Coag when 2 first came out but it just didn't work without the Pistol. Zanzibar games lasted between 25 min to an hour or so and same guy has the record with 170 kills. Second most is 130.

Dayum idk if there are any forgers in here but ign has a video of H2A forge and what they added looks amazing.
I'm not good but I cannot wait for some nerd to grab hold of it and make an awesome map.

H2A Forge does look pretty awesome. I'm not very good with forge either, but I know some guys that are awesome with it. I like the improvements.
