Has anyone tried any of her almond, peanut, sunflower, etc. butters yet? I tried some recently and it was great; and she's opening her own store in Lake Terrace soon. She makes them fresh and I think even Langenstein's and a few other groceries are starting to carry her products. They're definitely worth the price and she freshly grinds them to order.

Can a store that sells homemade Nut Butter really sustain itself in the long run? I mean, will the hipsters of New Orleans stop smelling their own farts long enough to shop in one store for their nut butter?

I think she caters a lot to the upper class Nola crowd and the hipsters/vegan/GF crowd...Langenstein's Uptown sells her products and she's moving pretty close to Lakeview and Lake Vista now. Lots of people order boxes of them from out of state and have it shipped...they're THAT good.

Yeah I know exactly where that is. Awesome.

They are finally going to start working on that empty lot in October from what I read.

What are they building there in that lot next door? I think Yummy Sushi is right down the street from there.

He promises construction starting by October with a bank on one corner and a two-story commercial building on the other.

“The plan is to have a coffee shop, a sandwich shop, a dry cleaner, and I’m speaking with a couple of veterinarians,” he said.

Ciaccio is also hoping to get a deal done to place a grocery in the unfinished part of the development.

The lot behind it is still tied up in litigation I think.
