What is your definition of success?

My personal belief is that success, as a goal in life, is relative. To each person things hold more or less importance than the same things would for another. Personally, I find myself being more and more concerned with the sort of men my sons end up being. I haven't worried about money, possessions or anything else since I became focused on making sure that the next generation is better than this one in my family (not asking for much, right)
My definition would be how good of people my boys are. High character, selfless, and loving men with good hearts. If they turn out that way, and I think I'm doing a good job so far, I believe I will die a happy man.
So, how about you?

two chicks at the same time.
ETA: I share your definiton of success, I have two boys and BY FAR their character when they are men is my most important priority. Money, Fame, two chicks at the same time, none of that will transfer to the grave. I'd rather say I raised two fine upstanding boys into men than say I made a shite ton of money and my sons are complete assholes.

To laugh often and much
to win the respect of intelligent people
and affection of children; to earn the
appreciation of honest critics and
endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty, to find the best
in others; to leave the world a bit
better, whether by a healthy child
a garden patch or redeemed
social condition; to know even
one life has breathed easier because
you have lived. This is to have
succeeded.

I think the goal of everyone should be to be more successful than their parents.

When one passes away and has more then 2K people show up for the wake, but yet not a rich person. To touch that many people over a life time and for that many people to show back respect, That is success in life.

That doesn't really define success as the OP asked.

4,000 highly leveraged sq feet of cheap shite from China and a $700 Tahoe payment to go along with a few kids that don't appreciate shite.
Now that, that is success.

Success to me is being able to provide the best home possible for my family. By home, I mean one that is full of love, honesty, values, etc where my son (and hopefully one more child) can grow to appreciate life and always think of their father as someone that was always there for them in every way imaginable.

ghost wipe.
my wife turned me on to this phrase
i'd never heard of it before i met her. she claims the ghost visits her regularly.
the ghost's ugly brother, the green ghost, usually visits me.

I was on the path to this shite. Luckily I got left and heartbroken so I was able to reevaluate my priorities. My girlfriend and I took my kids to a new park in the area, really beautiful little spot. There were like 6 other dad's out there and they all were dressed in exactly the same outfit just with different "ingredients"
Baseball cap, khaki shorts, running shoes that aren't used for running and a golf polo. It was almost scary
