Why no push to change names of San Francisco, San Diego, etc.

It just kind of hit me. I'm sure there have been fringe movements, but with all of the fervor that some make over separation of church and state, why no organized efforts to change the names of cities like these?

For example, take San Francisco, which is named after the Catholic Saint Francis of Assisi.

Surely, that has to offend some people.

And, of course, we all know the origin of San Diego's name: LINK

You have a point but my personal example has more credence - I do my voting at a Baptist church.

Yeah, sure. Any of those cities whose names have a religious backstory.

Cities in CA came to mind first since, after all, they're in CA.

Yeah, I'm thinking about taking my Snoopy/Charlie Brown Christmas yard art down to the county courthouse grounds and setting it up this year. You would think not a word should be said if it's okay up here to vote on a church's property. We'll see.

I'm more offended that the names are Spanish.

Me and my friends used to prank call people and pretend to be asians, Indians, or muslims asking people to sign a petition to change the name from Fort Worth to New Beijing or New New Dehli or New Saigon or New Islamabad

The reactions were funny

Born in Baton Rouge and grew up a Tiger. Family moved to Atlanta, and I ended up going to UGA.

Since they're in separate divisions, it works well out for the most part, except for the occasional SECCG. Sorry, but I gotta root for my Dawgs in those cases.

Just teasing man. My point being that it's getting to the point where everyone is offended about everything so where does it stop? Maybe we should all walk around with muzzles
