I remember when I first watched this movie as a child I ran out of my room scared..To this day I still don't think I could watch it alone.

So what about you guys??..How did you all feel about the movie??

Your loss kid, I am trying to run a successful business here and word of mouth is everything. If you won't help me out though, it's whatever.

I remember being scared when I was 7 and it first came out. I like watching it now. Tim Curry was great as Pennywise.

It was responsible for my deathly fear of all clowns until the age of 20. Now I can tolerate most, but if I saw this movie again I would probably relapse

I don't think it is this amazing film it's made out to be.

It was an amazing story that they did about the best they could do with in a few hours, IMHO

I read the over 1000 page book as a 16 year-old. Opening sequence in the book kept me from sleeping that night. Loved it. I saw the movie, but it didn't really stick like the book did.

Not great but not bad for a tv adaptation.

Curry was a great choice for Pennywise.

I agree. Especially since it isn't a film.

I would imagine the sex scene will not be around in the movie either.

For its time it was a great adaptation of the Novel. Casting was spot on for the characters as they were portrayed in the book and Pennywise could not have been better. I loved it when it came out and I do think it stands the test of time better than other 80's films / tv series.

All that being said, the spider really, really sucked. This is one King movie where I would love a remake, but anyone attempting to play pennywise has some big assed clown shoes to fill.

Honestly I thought it was a pretty crappy movie, definitely not worth the attention it receives. I agree that a remake would be great -- IF Curry kept his role as Pennywise. Apparently, Cary Fukanaga has a 2-part remake in the works
