The Netherlands will play with a backline of five against Spain in their opener.

He´s catching a lot of shite in Holland, but immediately retorts that he´s been contracted to win....

With no Howard Webb officiating, the man´s got a point.

i never got the hate for him, spain and holland were hacking eachother to death. What was he gonna do? Both teams would have been under 9 players

Rewatch the entire match, you obviously tuned in very late.

The Netherlands came in with the intent to hack. That was their gameplan.

Exactly. A properly officiated match would have resulted in an embarrassing blowout (probably before the close of the first 45).

Eight against eleven is impossible, and even an all time world all star behind the ball eight, against a full strength Spain with the adrenalin of a final flowing, would have been ugly.

I just hope they don't pull the shite they did in last world cup. Run to the final or not, that was embarrassing. Especially Robben

I swear, with all of the diving that my Dutch were doing, that Greg Louganis was going to come in as a 2nd half sub.
