a couple of buddies invited me to go catch frogs tomorrow night. I've never been before, what kind of baits do I need?

Tell us everything they said about the trip and the plans. Where are you going, how do you expect to catch them...

I want to mess with u but I won't do it. U grab the frog after shining a light on him they dont eat a bait.

But to answer your question they really like flies I hear

They asked if I wanted to go catch frogs tomorrow night. I have never been before so I wanted to go. I love doing things outdoors. Like I said I have never been and have no idea what kind of baits to use

They said they were going in the spill way

Match the hatch. Find out what they're eating and throw a similar bait. We've always had luck with Thompson Bugaboo Flies in #4 size on a medium fly rod. Just be sure to use plenty of frog wax on the wings so it will float on top. All of those I items should be readily available at Academy. Just ask one of the guys at the gun counter and they'll point you in the right direction.

Also, I prefer catching from a kayak. When you hook one, you'll soon find out what a "Cajun sleigh ride" is all about

And whatever you do, don't shine any bright lights on them. It spooks the hell out of them and ruins the whole trip.

I bought some of the fake plastic cricket baits for bream. I figured that might work

My troll meter may be broken.

You don't need bait to catch frogs. You need a bright light, your hands. And a cooler of beer

I hand grab them or beat them with a boat paddle.

Gotta be a troll.

I'd use those things on the end of your arms. You know....your hands.

A firm hand grip is all you need.
