In New Book, Hillary Clinton Finally Does An Iraq War Mea Culpa

Well, I guess she's making sure that she doesn't leave her left flank exposed like she did in 2008, when she believed that her nomination was inevitable and she could ignore the base.

In a stark admission, Hillary Clinton says she "got it wrong. Plain and simple” when she voted as a U.S. senator to authorize the war in Iraq, according to her new memoir.
Clinton’s support, in 2002, for the Iraq War Resolution dogged her unsuccessful 2008 run for President against Barack Obama, who opposed the war from the start.
Clinton has distanced herself from her vote — but never in such forceful terms as in her soon-to-be released book, “Hard Choices.”
“Many senators came to wish they had voted against the resolution. I was one of them,” she writes, according to CBS News, which obtained an advance copy Thursday and posted excerpts on its website.
“As the war dragged on, with every letter I sent to a family in New York who had lost a son or daughter, a father or mother, my mistake (became) more painful," Clinton adds.
"I thought I had acted in good faith and made the best decision I could with the information I had. And I wasn't alone in getting it wrong. But I still got it wrong. Plain and simple."

LOL
She's really counting on the stupidity of the Democratic voter.

There were Democratic activists who were demanding this from her in 2008 but she refused. After six years, she's crying "uncle". Let's face it, if she wants to run for the Presidency as a neocon, she needs to switch parties.

I wish I could write books to absolve myself from all past mistakes to enable me to make new ones!
