Marketing and advertising is out of control

You can't touch anything these days without it having some sort of advertisement attached to it. You can't watch a single video on the internet anymore without first having to sit through 10 to 15 seconds of advertising you care nothing about.
Visit a website shopping or browsing, then that same item is in the banner of every website you visit afterwards.
It was really fricking cool when I was researching rings, then my girlfriend sees rings in the banners surround every website she searched for recipe on.
I'm burnt out on having advertisements forced down my throat 24/7. Is it just me, or has this gotten out of control? It used to not be like this.

It's a real bombardment.
Someone has to pay the bills.

most of the stuff you watch is for free ... would you rather pay for ad-free content? ...

Capitalism!!1
I mean sure, capitalism is good and all, but when people are always trying to get you to buy something EVERYWHERE, when does it stop? I think it's weird enough that there's commercials for medicine everywhere..as if Big Pharma knows what's better for you and not your doctor!

It's the end game of the ultimate implosion of consumerist capitalism. It is an unsustainable economic model that has run its 150 year course.

I'm about to get into this field and from what I can tell it will treat me quite well, so keep on slapping them ads on, baby!

You mean the ads at the top and left of this page? That is what pays for you to come here and e-vent.

I love online ads, they usually are showing me stuff I am interested in, they allow sites to operate for free and they are pretty easy to ignore when I want to. If it wasn't for ads TD would be a pay site.

It's called direct to consumer advertising (dtc) and it's only legal in Amerika.
