What is LSU's trap game this year? (If there is one)

I don't see LSU losing to any team inferior to them this year, BUT if it were to happen, I would say that trip to Arkansas would be it.

At Arkansas just because it's right after Bama. They play us tough every year.

Schedule doesn't really set up for a true trap game.

Arkansas isn't really a trap. There is a bye week after that game before the A&M game, so they shouldn't be looking past Arkansas.

I would say the only game that really truly sets up as a trap game is Kentucky.

Sandwiched in between a road trip to Florida and home game against an Ole Miss team that beat us a year ago.

Alabama could be the trap game this year, but they will fail.

Gotta go with Arky, as well. Road game, Hogs always play well vs. the Tigers. And they have to be better than last year, right?

Agree with the above. But if I have to pick one I'll go with Arky. If we beat Bama theres no way we lose to them. Coming off a Bama loss at home I could see the Tigers coming out flat. Thats dangerous on the road against a team we always find ourselves in unusual games with.

A trap can't game can't follow a bye week.

Eh, I definitely agree with this, I just don't think that makes a game a "trap game". Trap game is typically referred to as a game that is overlooked because it comes after a tough game and comes before a big game.

Yeah I was thinking Arky as well. The game after Bama will be tough no matter who it is, not to mention they often play us close, it's on the road, and Arky will be coming off a bye week.

Kentucky at home? Coming off of a tough two-game road swing. Might be a time for the proverbial emotional letdown ...

I don't generally think about "trap" games at home, though.

So like a game between Alabama and Texas A&M vs a team who has not won an SEC game since 2011 and almost always plays above their head vs LSU?

Well since we have a bye week before the A&M game as I already said, no not at all like that. I would think most college football teams aren't overlooking an opponent when they have a bye week the following week. The only way LSU would overlook an opponent with a bye week following that game is if the next game was against Bama, and even then I wouldn't expect that to happen.

And while you're being a smartass...Bleacher Report agreed with my initial gut on Kentucky being a potential trap game

It’s always special when LSU and Kentucky get together.

Over the years, the two sides have had their fair share of exciting finishes. For the Tigers, it doesn’t get better than the Bluegrass Miracle of 2002, while the Wildcats look back fondly to their three-overtime upset win in 2007.

Unless LSU is careful, Kentucky could be celebrating another triumph in 2014.

After back-to-back road trips against Auburn and Florida, the Tigers will return home to face the Wildcats. But with a game against Ole Miss the following week, LSU could very well take Kentucky lightly.

Although the team finished 2-10 last season, head coach Mark Stoops has the Wildcats headed in the right direction.

It would be unwise for the Tigers to tempt Stoops to show them just how improved they are.

Ok, if you look at it, there is the potential of only 2 trap games--Kentucky and Arkansas. So to answer the OP pick one of those two.

I think the chance of losing is far greater vs. Arkansas for all the obvious reasons, including being on the road after 2 critical games.
