Seems like every time I log into the site it is noting but..

30 things all dog owners should know
25 celeb look alike's
extremely slanted news stories
blah blah blah

I do use the site to stay connected with friends, especially ones who I do not have an email/phone number for when you want to send a quick message or question. But it has reached the point where the BS is overpowering that purpose.

Do you see another site coming along that will revert back to being connected with friends without all the crap?

Don't Facebook.

I'm not a twelve year-old girl.

Definitely. But they will nee to offer a feature that is shiny and new enough to get past that major barrier of entry.

If Google couldn't do it with Google + Idk who will. People don't like change. They already have all their friends and shite on Facebook and know how to work it. I don't see anyone over taking Facebook.

Yeah and then it will eventually turn into what Facebook has become as more people join the new site

most normal people i know don't really post/shite do anything on facebook. these days it's down to trash and their drama, sorority girls and buzzfeed, and narcisstic people posting about how their quizno's experience was bad. besides the group my friends and i use, i don't really do much of anything on FB.

well I guess that will depend on the ownership and their objectives.

Example, Linkedin is dang close to what I hope for, but I would like to have it a little less professional.

The answer is that the BS isn't really hurting facebook. I still have mine but haven't actually scanned the newsfeed in years, and will go months without opening the app. I use it solely to coordinate things with friends out of state, and it allows me to do that. I'd wager there are plenty of folks in the same boat as me, and they don't have any plans to delete. Bottom line is that the BS is optional, but its still a decently useful tool.
