I think that the person running the LSU basketball twitter needs to learn how to spell. And if this isn't a direct quote, the OP needs to learn how to spell.

McCray was a big part in our recruiting the Georgia area. A big reason we went after Quarterman and some others.

Korey had nothing to do with Q, he was committed beforehand. He brought very little currently to the program but I was excited he could develop players. I knew this a while back. Or rather figured he would be gone. Basically LSU gave him a chance to find a place with a deadline they would let him go anyway. He never did because he's not really wanted at any big school. So he was let go.

Aahh. I assumed he did seeing that he worked with Georgia AAU for a while.

Well none of the three assistants do much with regards to talking to players during the games so outside of Patrick (Simmons) they all seem to be useless on gameday.

McCray is said to have many connections on the Aau scene especially in Georgia with the Atlanta Celtics.But he never produced anything

Yeah McCray hasn't really done anything as far as recruiting goes so no real loss there. Can't speak to his coaching abilities but sounds like we can upgrade his spot with someone else.
