Now the MSM is going to run with this and make it all about the "racist South" even though this is just low class stuff. Call me when this happens in the BAC breakroom in Charlotte, then we have a real problem.

Not that it would make what he said OK, but might make it a little more understandable how someone one could possibly think saying anything like that was a good idea.

I imagine a lot of us have encountered those awkward white people who say outrageously bigoted shite for laughs while simultaneously thinking he's going to endear himself to black folks for being so open about it.

As someone who once worked closely with the cotton industry I can say... that is the oldest, most common joke in the book. Brought up by blacks or whites, in front of both blacks and whites, many times.
