I'm just going to leave it here. I encourage everyone to read it. Lowe always provides very good insight, and backs it up.

Its a pretty short article.

This series should be great. 7 games is almost guaranteed.

I think the difference this year comes down to home court. It will either be Miami in 6 or SA in 7. I don't think either team will close out on the other's home court and I don't think it will be over in 5.

If I had to make a prediction, I would take SA in 7. I do think that Miami is fully capable of closing out in SA in Game 7.

I feel like I must be watching a different NBA than everyone else

I have the Spurs in 5. As the writer said, the Heat are worse and the Spurs are better. The Spurs were a foul shot away from winning in 6 on the road last year.

I realistically don't see the Heat winning this series unless LBJ is putting up 35+ a game. I think Wade is not close to the defender he was 2 years ago, and is using all his energy on the offensive end. Bosh is now a 3 point specialist who isn't anywhere near the paint to contest rebounds or get offensive ones.

Maybe I'll be surprised but I bet a coworker $200 on the finals and feel comfortable with my Spurs prediction

Two biggest factors for me, how will danny green shoot in miami and which heat roleplayer emerges. Think cole could be a factor. Spurs will need someone like mills or belli to be a consistent scorer with the 2nd unit.

I'm not convinced of this. Regular season Heat are worst than last year's regular season Heat, no doubt.

It's cliche, but I don't think there's any doubt the Heat did lots of coasting in the regular season, the defensive numbers(especially Lebron's) really do show this. But even aside from that, Wade was hobbled big time against SA in the Finals last season and is not this season. I don't see it as that much different than last season, with both teams about as evenly matched as possible.

That's by design, the Heat don't care about rebounding, generally speaking of course.

Maybe those are fair points but I just look at the two teams play and say to myself "San Antonio is just better"

S.A. was as impressive (likely moreso) in beating the Blazers and Thunder as Miami was in beating the Nets and Pacers.

Lowe makes a great point, how Miami is virtually unbeatable when they play small ball. But can SA stop that trend? As Lowe says, the Spurs will likely show a lot of Diaw/Duncan tandems, as opposed to using Splitter/Duncan.

The Pacers used Hibbert/West a lot. Ray Allen wore out D. West. Will Diaw have better success? Diaw is a lot more crafty than West offensively, can Diaw exploit the matchups when smaller players are guarding him?

Should be interesting.

Well Bosh playing like that in the Finals last year almost cost them.

And yep, you are correct about the rebounding aspect for the Heat. But I just think Bosh needs to be more involved on PnR's going to the basket in this series for the Heat to be successful.

Bosh has been mostly pick and pop in these playoffs.

Splitter is too slow to give Miami any real issues. I'd like to see more Diaw/Duncan on the floor. That gave OKC issues even with Ibaka back.

Is it possible some of that has been by design? The Spur's will usually surrender the mid-range jumper before they will leave the hoop. Having a fairly quick "center" that is reliable from mid to long range seems like I good idea against the Spurs.
