NBA2k14 Association - rest starters before playoffs?

I'm nearing the end of a LONG 82-game season (9-minute quarters, no simulations). Got 5 games in 2 weeks to go, and just wrapped first overall place. I did a fantasy draft and my team is stacked, but like an idiot I left on player roles so I have problems all season with dissatisfied players. For example Tim Duncan is below 75 in morale and he fricking starts. It's a struggle with like 8 guys on my roster.
So if I rest my starters before the playoffs, are they all gonna bottom out and bitch about it? And if so, is that worse than the fatigue? What do I do?
ETA: and you can't turn off player morale once you've started an association

Why the hell would you do this to yourself?

Well, for realistic stats, and because I like playing. Because I like the long-term season. It's been going for months obviously. It's kind of like managing a fantasy team, except I actually get to play (with a controller haha).
But the biggest reason is probably because of the steep learning curve. I put it on Hall of Fame, so I never get bored and I'm always challenged, and if I start out 0-10, it's okay.

I always sim Associations, I usually rest my starters if I've locked up the one seed.
In MyCareer I do long quarters for realistic stats, but I just take longer than most to finish. I don't do it all quickly, it's a few games a week for a few months. If I ever have the time and feel like it, I'll play a lot of games. If I ever get bored with it for a while, I won't play any for a while. It averages out.

Right. I have fun. I'm not gonna play if it's boring or a chore.

I agree. I myself do full 12 minute quarters. I don't like short games.
