I used to follow this stuff closer than a prisoners eyes on a woman's arse but I fell off the last few years. I noticed that the first day I log in to do a little brush up it's a huge commit day. It is that time of year but still, damn, this shite never gets out your blood

It is best to skim the sites every week or so.

Last year showed that stalking twitter and having a million subscriptions is a waste of time and money. The kids are usually trolling and the recruiting 'experts' are generally clueless.

Sonny and Shea are legit. I mean, I hate feeling old school considering I was heavy into recruiting 04-10 but, holy buttfricking shite has everything changed. Pay sites that were worth it were almost nonexistent then (oh, TSD, you were my haven) but now that the recruits are almost pseudo national celebs before they even have a diploma due to social networking you could probably glean as much from just being a weird twitter stalker than listening to a bunch of posi/negi-tigers talk about how we are doomed are destined to be the best team since Knute Rockne was alive

In short, I'd pay for 247 because of shea and sonny, purely. If I signed up for a pay site it's going to be because of who runs it

(And that opinion has no facts or stats to back it up, I just think that they are the two absolute best in the LSU recruiting business)

I don't think it'll ever be as fun as the Trent Richardson/Sam Montgomery year. That shite was insane

I used to spend so much time watching film and following all these kids. I've really scaled back after little man showed up 2 years ago, but just like in coaching football, hudl has made everything soooooo easy.

That and the fact that anything available on the paid sites is available on TD as well.

LOTM! Hope you've been well my man. The price paid for the sites is for the people, the community and the feel as much as "premium" info. I'll always thump my Sonny and Shea bible when it comes to LSU recruiting because I think they're still worth the price of admission
