Not sure when it was added, but it was in the just added category. One of my favorite movies.

I always wanted to believe that a lot of Joffrey Baratheon was designed with a little bit of Phoenix's Commodus as inspiration.

At least for the show.

Jack Gleeson has confessed that he took inspiration from Joaquin Phoenix's Commodus in Gladiator for his own portrayal of Game Of Thrones' King Joffrey.

Phoenix makes that movie almost unwatchable for me. Close-ups of that hare lip are not a good look.

After watching Gladiator I hated Phoenix's Commodus so much that I honestly couldn't watch another Joaquin Phoenix movie for years. Haha. Stupid, I know.

Was disappointed they didn't make a prequel. The Rise of Maximus would have been awesome.

All time classic. Great flick. Never realized this, but Oliver Reed died during the filming of Gladiator.

Yep, they used a cgi projection of him for the rest of his scenes, similar to what they're doing with the fast and furious guy.
