He's the mayor.

He has a degree from LSU.

He's a likable dude.

I don't care for "outsiders" in the dugout during a postseason game, but anyone worried about jinxing the good mojo should understand that the first game that Kip sat in the dugout this year LSU won 27-0 and pitched a no hitter. He kind of started our win streak.

Fact: he was honorary captain the night of the NW st beat down. He's good luck now, do they invited him back.

Edit- I see choupique beat me to it

Holden looked ill to me. Almost frail. Does anyone know if he is having health problems?

Kip's a pretty cool dude if you ever get the chance to talk to him.

Kip told McMullen in the 8th inning to "hit a touchdown."

I'm not a big fan of Kip Holden, but he's the mayor of the town and a solid supporter of LSU. If the team wants him there, I have no problem with it. He's a Tiger.

The guy is a great Mayor for Baton Rouge. Actually I think he is the best mayor Baton Rouge has ever had had in my lifetime. However, the guy is a douche (and habitual drunkard) outside of politics.
