But really, was LSU ever recruiting him? The name is familiar, but I don;t remember much discussion about him over here.

originally from Nola. Was very highly thought of on here before Boo and Williams broke out.
ABout this time last year I thought he might end up in this class. I'm assuming the coaches backed off because he just dropped off everyone's radar.

How about the victim openly admitting he had marijuana stolen? Sounds like he's not too bright either.

You probably do. Oklahoma RB originally from LA, was supposed to be the lightning to Fournettes thunder.
We passed on him
When 14 recruiting really picked up, he was talked about a lot

Great memory on that one.
The talk on this kid disappeared quickly. I always wondered what happened with him.
We seem to get lucky with a lot of these guys, but I'm starting to think its more than luck...
Not to say absolutely we don't get our share if players with troubles, but to a certain degree, we really don't.
Wilson and grimes just spoke about miles philosophy of recruiting not just high caliber athletes, but successful men. If a player with character flags can be replaced with marginally close talent without the same flags, then we retarget. Much more goes into recruiting than just film. Our coaches network with a players family, coaches, etc, and also like to meet with kids in person usually.
That is another reason coaches prefer kids to come to camps or visit in person before extending a 'commitable' offer.
Another one I can remember that we parted with was that linebacker kid who allegedly had sexual relations with his cousin. His name escapes me at this time.

Yeah I remember not wanting him after lying in an interview. I remember posting about it. Got the damn girl pregnant too. I mean we go around saying cousin/sister fricker, but you don't expect it to ever be true about the person you're insulting lol.
