So this immigration thing.

Once passed, are we officially done? Will it be possible to even remotely come close to balancing the budget?

Technically we balance the budget every year. We just have to go into debt to do it.

Balancing the budget will never happen.
On the immigration thing Democrats want amnesty because they see millions of new voters that they can keep as voters in the future as they get them hooked on federal government goodies.
RINOs want amnesty to please their corporate buddies with cheap labor. McDonalds, Burger King, Walmart, etc. are feeling wage pressure do to a low labor pool and they need a fresh new supply of labor to keep wages as low as legally possible.
Doesn't if just make you sick?
