James Southerland Yay or Nay?

He was at a promotional event for the Zephyrs with Monty and Ajinca. LINK If he's still "with" the team, obviously he gets a Summer League/Training Camp invite, will he take Darius Miller's roster spot? He only played 30 minutes, but he looked long and active and shot 60% from 3.

His best minutes were at the 2, not the 3, according to 82 Games.
I see him as being kept around through at least the summer league so that we can finish kicking the tires on him but I doubt he fully replaces Darius Miller.

Way too small of a sample size. If you go by height there were 2:43 out of 30:21 total where he was the SG

There were quite a few lineups where he played with Miller so I suppose it'd be hard to say who was the SG in that situation, but I remember noticing him play more frontcourt than backcourt, and with only 30 minutes played in 3 games I think I caught most of his minutes.

lol melvin ely. forgot about that.
i like Miller, but Monty doesn't ever seem to want to play him except in a pinch. Southerland played really well in the D-League…he was either on the all defensive team or all D-League team, can't remember which.

He's no Lance Thomas, but can kinda bomb so I don't hate it

He is Morrow-esque. Long and shoots well. Not sure if he provides much else.
