Want to buy a new laptop/desktop, but first I would like to make sure I will be able to save my itunes music from my old computer and transfer it over. Is it as easy as saving to a thumbdrive and installing on the new computer?? Any help would be appreciated!

Copy it from the original location to a jump drive/external. Paste it to the new computer.

You should always back that stuff up on an external anyway to prevent losing it forever if computer crashed.

not if you want to keep your playlists. there are tutorials on apple sites for this fwiw. its not terrible but its more than copying over Mp3s.

Didnt know you could do that. I always thought Id save whatever that was important like music on a flash drive. I assume this way is faster?
