Looking on 247 after Kyler Murrary committed to TAMU, it looks like Damarkus Lodge and Kemah Siverand are trending there too. Does that change the things with Johnson? I dont think Johnson is the kid who would be affraid of competition at all, but would landing those other two at wideout mean TAMU will back off of him or is he one of the those "take no matter what" guys? Just curious if Lodge and Siverand committing may help our cause or not. The possibility of Johnson and Stickland is still very much alive!

Haha According to floyd13, who has "inside" NOLA connections, A&M is a huge player. Or so he said last week hahaha Really hoping to see Johnson in P&G!

Siverand just committed there. Kyle Murray has gotten so much press and coverage the past few days, expect TAMU to maybe jab another 1-2 in the coming weeks.

It never stops for me. Grew up in Houston and somewhere around 40% of my graduating class when to TAMU or Blinn haha I hear endless Aggie retardation on the reg. Even attending a good Aggie friends wedding in Houston this weekend. Will be interesting to see Murray in that system. Its a good fit.

No shock with Siverand. Will be interesting to see where Lodge and Stickland end up. I hope Johnson sees the light and stays home.

Man if we can nab Strickland Johnson and Merritt, we should call it a day. I think this might push Lodge to TAMU, but I think Baylor is in the running too if I'm not mistaken.

Feel really good about him honestly. He will shine in this offense if he chooses to rep the P&G.

Johnson is a take for ANYONE no matter what, but he's a longshot for A&m at best.
Ags are hard after Lodge, Kirk (az) + one other (Chigbu) to gi with Siverand. Excellent shot at 2/3 of those.

I understnad Johnson is a take, just trying to figure out exactly where the Ags have them on their wideout pecking order. When Johnson first gained spot light, everyone said he was an Aggie lean and Sumlin was the coach to beat, but now it appears (through LSU picking it up and A&M seeming to get other wideouts) that Johnson is beginning to warm up a lot to the idea of staying home. He would be a great fit in Cams offense, though with his skill set, he could be dynamite anywhere.

I like Chatman. The question with Chatman is will LSU take him or Chigbu? Merritt is a different type of player than both. But Chatman and Chigbu have similar frames and specialties.

someone has to be left out. if we take strickland then both chatman and chigbu could be left out and thats not considering what will happen with dillon. johnson, strickland, ferguson, merritt.

Yes, unfortunately we cannot take them all. But there are tons of great prospects this year in state at wideout. Really is going to be interesting to see how it all shakes down.

Saw in an article that he talks to the DB coach Curtis daily and that he is at his school every time coaches are allowed. Idolizes Crabtree too.

I started a thread on the SECrb about the same thing last week. Aggies are still interested but aren't the player they once were. Also, someone posted this:
quote:

TAM was the frontrunner for Johnson until March. Now they aren't even in the picture. Could change but its gonna take a lot of arse kissing by the TAM staff and a certain coach at Easton. Dad caught wind of this certain coach, and TAM alum, slanting and pushing Tyrons recruitment towards the Aggies and put an end to it and basically shutting the door on TAM. They got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. It happens more than most know but doesn't get public much. Of course the TAM mods always say its an issue they don't feel they should get into when asked why Johnson isn't high on them anymore.

Shortly after all that came to light, Johnson and dad visited LSU and Henry, Cameron and Les hit a homerun with dad. Trust is a huge issue now and that's why LSU is in great shape as of now.

I have no idea how credible it is but it could explain why Johnson cooled off on the Aggies.
