Do you remember the name Valerir Plame, she was very busy attacking the Bush administration for outing her name in public as a spy while sitting t at a desk in DC. Well she is giving a pass on on the CIA head in Afghanistan while he is in the country being outted by Obozo being given that honor.

Is screwing up & naming the same as doing it on purpose & trying to hide it?

Plame was "outed" by Lib Richard Armitage, not Scooter Libby, a fact that special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald found out within the first couple of months of his investigation, though he continued the investigation for four years.
There was a "special prosecutor" appointed and intense media hype around it for years.

The way this "outing" to someone actually working in the field is treated like a "whoopsy" by the media and by the same people in the Senate, Dems, of course that wanted people jailed over Plame.
The hypocrites in the media and in the Senate is just sickening.

the plame thing was pretty fricked up from start to finish and clearly political. the whole thing with scooter libby reminded me of the clinton witch hunt. Sure they did something wrong, but they really had to stretch it.

Yeah but Scooter Libby was investigated for four years over this and was charged and convicted even though it was Armitage who "outed" Plame to Novak.

Only two problems with your statement. The first is that the criminal investigation into the disclosure of Valerie Plame revealed that the State Department appointee who disclosed her employment by the CIA did not know she was an undercover agent, Richard Armitage believed Plame was an analyst. So the disclosure was not an intentional disclosure of an undercover agent as evidenced by the lack of criminal charges. And second, it was President Bush who directed that the investigation be conducted. The Special Prosecutor did not find any evidence of an official cover up of the disclosure as he stated he was aware of who in the Bush administration had discussions with media members regarding Plame from the outset of his investigation.

The difference is Bush and Cheney knew about Plame where as Obama just found about the CIA leak on the news last night. Now that he knows he pissed off. There will be an investigation and afterwards a report.
