Really enjoying this.

I just realized why they are honoring Don: everyone else is dead. Carson, Martin, Reagan, Sinatra...all dead. That must kind of suck.

Mr. Warmth is the only one that can get away with it.

I also enjoyed the Carson clips with him.

The Sinatra-Rickles bit is gold, as is the Carson interrupting the taping of CPO Sharkey

That was great. Don closing out the show taking jabs at Seinfeld, De Niro and Scorsese

Got around to watching this last night. I thought it was pretty great.
I absolutely LOVE the old video clips of Rickles...dude is straight up hilarious. I've said before, it's amazing to me how quickly and easily he can take complete control of a room and keep their attention for as long as he wants. Dude was/is just a straight up entertainer in its purest form. And it's incredible how quick-witted he is. He always has a comment for somebody or a comeback if someone says something. I think one of my favorite clips from this one was where he says something to Julia Roberts and she says something and he goes "Yeah, you dn't have any lines in this, Julia...just smile and nod."
I hate Tracy Morgan so much...he is simply one of the most unfunny people I've ever seen, yet people fawn all over him and LOVE that dude for whatever reason. Most of the shite he says isn't remotely funny, and when he does manage to have funny material, the words stumble out of his mouth so badly that it makes them unfunny.
De Niro and Scrosese were pretty good, even if a bit awkward. But they're not comedians, so NBD.
Jon Stewart was awkward and not very funny either.
Seinfeld was okay.
Johnny Depp = WTF? That was completely random and unnecessary IMO.
Brian Williams was actually hilarious. Very impressed with him.
Rickles looks terrible, but good to see his mind is still there for the most part. Him ripping on a few people was pretty funny. His wife looked PISSED OFF for some reason.
Funniest thing of the night had to be Bob Newhart's video message though. That was completely hysterical.
I'm glad I saw a commercial on Comedy Central about this show a couple hours before it came on so I was able to record it and watch it. Solid tribute to one of the funniest people that ever lived. I could watch his old clips for days.

Check out the Rickles episode of Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars having Coffee.
The old guy is funny 24-7.
Can't imagine how much fun him and Newhart must have fricking around with each other.
