Why doesn't the Pac-12 have a baseball tournament?

I just don't see how the negatives can outweigh the positives here. They are also losing an opportunity for a team that isn't an at large to receive an automatic bid.

Do they schedule like they do in football? Everyone has a series against every conference opponent? May use that extra weekend to fit that in. Not sure though.

Maybe they start a week later than most, too. They have the Oregon and Washington schools, so it might be hard for them to have series going in March

Idk but that late series against Bethune Cookman didnt help Washington's hosting possibilities.
But on the other hand Stanford snuck in and could have played their way out with a conf tourney.

The better question is, why do other conferences have tournaments? They play for two months and then the hottest team for three days gets the automatic bid. Same thing in basketball. Why have the tournament? I guess it brings in more money.
