I invest in rental properties and I bought a house in an older middle class area next to a better together supporter. Love the yard signs and guy wearing socks with sandles.

They are upset that I bought the property next door to them and fixed it up which does bring up the property values.
Isn't that what Together Baton Rouge is all about being one with everyone?

They are complaining now that I have section 8 tenants. They claim my section 8 tenants deal drugs, have late night parties, play their music loud, and park in the grass.

I checked into the complaints and most are not

Isn't Together Baton Rouge about bringing all Baton Rouge people together not being separate if their neighbors are different from them?

Keep your homeowners insurance payments up to date.

That way you don't lose when the neighbors burn your dump to the ground.

Thanks for making it trashy.

Which ones are true? How did you check into them? Surely your tenants owned up to being drug dealers?

I can't think of any middle or upper class neighborhood in America that would support having neighboring homes turn into section 8 housing.

I appreciate a good troll thread, but the OP failed.

Dude! "Being one with everyone"...geez. Do you leave your door open at night. You have a death wish if so. I live in the sticks; if I see a moccasin taking up residence by my house....he's gotta go. And I love and respect moccassins.

Use to try to fight section 8 since 2005 when things went downhill. I tried working with landlords in areas I had properties and all they told me was if the police don't catch them I cannot do anything. I had meetings with BRPD supervisors and they really only want the big fish not small level dealers.

Now I am doing the same thing it just in nicer older areas where most of these landlords live and most of these slum lords are Together Baton Rouge supporters. They just don't like the slums where they live, but it's ok to destroy other areas.

In older areas you also have motivated sellers wanting to move to better school districts.

I thought we all better together but I forgot only when it is to your advantage!

Gonna have to agree to disagree there.

So your home is surely surrounded by Section 8 right! We would not want you to be a hypocrite on this most important issue.
