We finally picked out a dog for our family and now we are debating on what kind of dog food to feed him.
The breeder feeds the parents Taste of the Wild and I've done some research online and it seems like a good brand compared to a lot of other ones out there.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience or input on this brand?

Not that "Blue" food stuff. Vet said its way overrated and can actually be bad for your dog.

Look for something that has meat as its first ingredient. Stay away from corn based foods.

We use Nature's Recipe. It's a no grain type food like Taste of the Wild. I think its about $30 for an 12 lb bag at Petco

Diamond beef and rice is the best bang-for-buck dog food on the market IMO. They make lamb and rice puppy food which is good stuff as well but costs a few bucks more.
I have working dogs and don't see any reason to feed them something else. Feed bill stays down and the dogs are in great shape.

You should have said 124 grain hollow points, because we all know that's what you really feed dogs from your Glock dog food dispenser.

I'm impressed you even know I'm a 9 mil guy.
Well when I can't get my hands on some good ole 00 buck or an AK.

Lucky guess.
These threads pop up pretty frequently. You and your copper buddies absolutely must say that you feed dogs some flavor of lead next time.

Grain free ideal balance here. Has worked wonders for my dog.

Whatever you do, get him started on dry food and stick with it. He'll lead a longer, healthier life.

I respectively disagree.
Feed a dog Old Roy and he'll croak quickly.
They need a variety.
Fish (for the coat), Beef, Chicken and Pork.
Don't forget to keep up with the Heartworm meds OP.

Thanks for all the replies. The one thing I was worried about was the protein in TOTW. I read that puppies should get about 26% max and the food I was looking at had 28%. Will that other 2% really make a big differenc for him?
