Similar pitching styles. Good fastball, nice slider, good change. Is he our next stud?

Poche is the next big Friday night starter.

I'm thinking a 2015 weekend rotation of Poche, Bugg, and Bouman next yr unless we have a stud freshman like Marshall making it to campus

If he stays healthy, in two years, Poche will be where Nola is now. Possibly in an even better position, being that he's a southpaw.

Friday night starter does not equal Nola. I think you guys have taken for granted how awesome Gausman then Nola have been on Friday's for us. More specifically, how we have basically won 19 of our last 20 SEC series openers with Nola. Poche could turn out being a great pitcher and still not come close to doing what Nola does. Other than AJ Reed, Nola could be the MVP for the entire NCAA. Nola, and almost Nola alone, kept this LSU team's head above water until the last 7 games. You can not understate the pressure Nola has pitched under this season.

People said this after Renaudo and Coleman.

I'm not saying Nola will be easily replaced, or even replaced for that matter, but we've had some very very good pitchers come through since PM has been here.

Poche has better numbers at this stage than Nola did. Doesn't mean he will be better, but its a good indication that he's on the rt track to be just as good.

Let me go ahead and ruin the suspense. He won't be as good as nola.

Better numbers as a freshman does not mean that it will translate into a sub 2.00 ERA and a 22-2 record over the next 2 years. I in no way mean this to speak poorly of Poche, it's just how highly I think of Nola's performance the last two years.

Heard a lot of good things about Russell Reynolds. He or Bugg might be the closer.
