Xbox One Fap/explanation of why console sucks thread

As an Xbox One supporter from the beginning, I hope the kinect-less version flops. frick Microsoft for going back on everything they promised me last E3.

Titanfall Bundle
You are getting Kinect for basically $40 at this point. I am still amazed that people make the $100 price difference such a big deal. This is something you use for 5-10 years. $100 over that time frame is a fraction of a penny per use.
If you think the PS4 is your cup of tea, then so be it. The $100 price difference is a horrible validation. You litterly should not be buying either, if $100 is that big of a deal.

The $100 less isn't the reason people got the PS4 in the first place. They got it because, at least at the moment, it has better titles and is a better gaming machine. I love the innovation Microsoft initially was going to have but all of that is now gone because they're looking at dollar signs.

You can blame people crying before realizing what MS was actually trying to do for that.
People are apparently OK with just getting updated hardware every gen instead of actually moving gaming into the future.

All the people bashing the Xbox One for being $100 more was annoying. Now MSFT has reversed it's course and what I thought was a cool advancement in gaming and entertainment will not get quality dev time more than likely. Also - I post on TD, I ain't rich.

People balked on the Xone becuase it was being pitched as a weak uber DRM machine with online checks and ruined first party franchises.
It's not like the uproar was from PS fans, sure the PS fans mocked along the way but the uproar was from long standing Xbox fans who felt slighted by corporate suits with a misguided direction for the future of the Xbox brand.

Sure... in locations where being online all of the time is possible. Sounds like a terrible idea for sales and profitability.

No, it wasn't just Xbox fans that were bashing it. The marketing team did a shittastic job promoting the thing. The console in it's original form would have been a superior product to the Playstation 4. They backed off though because people were bitching because there was change (or what I like to call innovation) in what they were used to.

Hey I'm just bring up the white elephant in the room. I know you like to say that MSFT back peddled because of PS fans mocking them on the net but in reality a huge portion of loyal Xbox fans wanted no part of the DRM fiasco.
Most of the people I know who have a PS4 were loyal Xbox fans the last 2 generations, myself included.

This is their target anyway. They make a killing off of Xbox Live and are probably indifferent to the people that aren't online and aren't gold members as those people aren't going to be as profitable to have as consumers anyway.

It's also a reason they were going to slow roll the Xbone into countries that made sense. Countries with good widespread internet access.
