Do you keep a spare key in the boat.

I was justing thinking about this. And how it would suck to stranded somewhere.

I do keep my set of keys on a floaty.

My key stays in the ignition, year in year out with the hitch key attached to it. Can't see a scenario where the key would go overboard.

Same with me. Both keys in the ignition. I do have 2 extras. 1 in the boat in a food saver bag with an air gap for buoyancy, and one in the console of my truck. The reason for just 2 is because both engines are keyed the same.

Same here and I have it on a key chain that will float.

My key stays in the boat on a tether tied to the stainless rail next to the helm. It will be with the boat and floating as long as the boat is still floating.

I keep it tied to the boat because I once drove an hour to go fishing and found out at the ramp that I left the key in the house.
