Portable directv stand. Extra directv satellite.
Set up satellite to stand outside camper when parked.
Contect cable from satellite to cable connection on camper.
Fine tune the angle of satellite for best reception.
No help with internet for camper. I know most campgrounds have wifi.
I use my phone as a hotspot if I need internet elsewhere

is there special equipment needed ?
internally...
I figured using the phone as a hotspot or adding a separate hotbox but do not know much about the satellite part

The wifi at every camp ground I've stayed at has been miserably slow. I was hoping it was going to be strong so I could use the Roku for our daughter, but not the case.

Get one of these and save yourself tons of headache.
LINK
It aims itself, so no setup involved. Also, check out Dish For My RV if Dish Network is good for you. They have a pay as you go plan, so if you aren't using it for a month or so, you don't have to pay.

Using TV remote go to Satelite set up.
Enter zipcode and it will tell you the direction and pitch to set the dish.
Use the compass to point it correctly.
TV will be beeping and will tell you when its getting a good signal. My wife stays inside and tells me the signal % until it gets over 70%. Then I lock it down.

The inside equipment you will need would be a satellite box from your house or an extra one connected to a TV
