Anyone know a good place to stay downtown? I will be there first part of July.

Stayed at the W a few years ago and it was solid.

I just stayed at the downtown Sheraton. It was pretty nice and it's convenient to the transit system from the airport. The Westlake terminal is is only a couple of blocks from the Sheraton.
BTW, Seattle's transit system is pretty nice. It's actually nicer than standard cab service and a lot cheaper than any form of transportation.

I always stay at the Grand Hyatt:
Easy walking distance from Downtown almost anywhere.
I recommend this as well. It's where I stay when I go. Usually only around $200 a night (but I haven't been there in about a year and half).

I've stayed at several of the hotels in this thread and they're all good suggestions. Seattle is great, have fun!

This is where UW puts all of their recruits on their official visits to impress them LINK
It's a hotel right on the pier overlooking the water, so it's pretty unique.
This is where I was put for the night when a company in downtown Seattle was recruiting me and I believe it's the #1 rated hotel on Trip Advisor for Seattle LINK
It was really nice.

I stayed at the downtown Hilton for the Saints game in Dec. It was nice.

I stayed at both of these hotels last July. edgewater is great because it has great views and the water was still cool and you could sleep with window open. hotel 1000 had great service and good central location. highly recommend both.

Just booked a trip to Seattle in October because of this thread. We tend to "get away" every 6 months or so on some weird trip for basically no reason.
(I booked Grand Hyatt for what it's worth)
Thanks for the reminder
