Their #1,2 or 3?

4.
Their 3 is out, they are throwing their midweek starter.
But don't mention that we should consider using our 3, you'll get attacked.

None of the above. Colin Poche is starting. Their #1 Jalen Beeks is out.

I wouldn't say Beeks is our #1 really. Oliver, the guy we pitched today, is probably our best. Looking forward to watching the game tomorrow

Is he one of their weekend starters?

Ham, if you were LSU, would you throw Nola?

I wasn't going to mention that. Because that's really dumb.

I don't know. You guys have a good staff right? I guess I wouldn't want my ace to get out of rhythm by saving him for the last game or two of the tourney. Might as well use the best pitcher in the country

Pitching Nola is about as a guaranteed win as you'll get in college baseball. If LSU goes 2-0 in the tournament it gives us our best shot at hosting. And Aaron is on his regular rest schedule. Not pitching Nola probably hasn't even entered CPM's mind.
Starting Chinea probably has though.

Bouman, who use to be our two before his injury and Poche's emergence.
Nola pitched on Friday. Thursday morning is not his normal rotation.

Fair enough. I call beeks #1 because he impressed me the most in BR. Killian and Oliver are very good as well. Arky could be a scary team in the postseason assuming beeks is ok.

What about thursday afternoon?
Posted on 5/21/14 at 8:41 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
definitely. He's scary good. Reminds me of Ranaudo a few years ago. Always knew we'd have a tough time against both of them.

There are coaches out there that would save him for game 3...
But there are also coaches out there who don't start their best hitter and their reigning national player of the week hitter, too.
