I realize this is a subjective question, but for those who have seen it, what makes it PG13? Language, sex? I'd prefer less of those two but violence is cool.

Thinking of taking the boy this week in the middle of the day as a surprise one on one time.

Also the 2 hour 20 min is on the long side but I think he can make it.

Any tips would be appreciated.

There's a scene with implied anal sex but you don't see it.

I say take him.

It's pretty much violence only. The script is meh so I don't remember any language really jumping out. And there's a couple of kisses. That's about it. But is a 5 year old really going to understand what's going on? It has a lot from the previous film, so much so I had to go back and check some facts. (And there are far less battles in this one, which is odd since it has more villains, like 3 times the villains.) So it's a lot of talk, exposition, and drama.

And it has a significantly darker tone overall.

Thanks. He's never seen the first one but I'm not worried about that. He loves superheros and the action so that's what I thought he'd like. Good to know.

He'll enjoy it for about 15 minutes.

Too bad it's so dark with so much talking. I appreciate the help. What about Captain America? Is it less talk?

I took my 4 year old and he loved it. He did start trailing off towards the end because it is so long, but there is a lot of Spiderman on screen and that kept mine interested.

If your kid's old enough to stay quiet... take him.

(Shoutout to the parents of the three year old that stood on the seat facing backwards, screaming until I asked the mom to take her kid out.)

I don't think there's anything particularly inappropriate, but I see no way he'll be able to keep up with the story.

I can't decide. My 6 year old went and told me "don't waste your fricking money dad" but I want to go see something.

I have been taking my kids to superhero pg-13 movies since they were little. They have always enjoyed them. The little dude likes to wear his cape to see them.

I watched it with the intent of taking my 5 year old back to see it. Went well nothing bad until they introduced the Hobgoblin. My son would definitely be terrified of him.

My 5 year old seen it and was fine. He loves the movies though so his behavior is fine for long movies. He also seen Captain America 2 and Thor 2 at that movies. All he's talking about now is X-men so I'm sure we will be seeing that this weekend.

That's just not true sir, and if so, please refresh my memory. Waited the entire move for it.

BTW, thanks for the advice. Took the boy and all went well.
