I know I can walk up and buy tickets for Wednesday's game, but once inside can you pretty much sit where you want? I can't imagine there will be anywhere close to a full house for the game...

Paid Gen Admission for championship game and wound up sitting in seatbacks behind home plate in the shade.

Did exactly this last year. Right by the tunnel.

In the general admission area, yes you can. You usually can sit in the reserved seating areas after the second inning or so when it's apparent the ticket holder for that seat is a no-show. Other than the championship game, there are tons of empty seats every session, everywhere, including LSU games.

Generally, it is so hot that no one sits in the reserved seats unless it is a night game.

Did this too. No problems at all.

When you walk in the stadium, look up at the SEC box & notice all the league office employees wearing red SEC jackets. And then watch the large majority of them yell for bama when bama is playing. A friend of mine has represented LSU in the SEC box suite and he said it is unbelievable how many work for the SEC. All the rumors aside, he said it is a huge number.
