Yes indeed! Made an offer on a house and it was accepted. Will be back in my home town by July. So happy!

glad to hear that...you really don't appreciate louisiana until you live somewhere else for a while...

Welcome back... And I know what it means... Katrina sent me to Houston and BR for probably a year.. Wastelands

Just in time for the swamp arse. Congrats

Glad you're excited. I left Nola last year and it'd be a nightmare to have to go back.

Can't wait to go back. Houston is a lot better than BR, but nothing beats NOLA

Can't say I've ever heard anyone say that...

You'll be leaving again in the next 12-18 months when either your job there hasn't worked out or you find out you can't afford to live there anymore

Congrats Isabelle. Now when you're settled in, take a walk through Audubon Park, ride the streetcar down St. Charles to Canal, walk down Royal St. to the Cathedral, turn right to Decatur St., get a table at Cafe du Monde, order up a cup of real coffee and send up a small prayer for all the poor souls that will never know what living in a great city is all about...

Glad to see you so appreciative of the towns that took you in.

My heartbreak is huge
'Cause I miss Baton Rouge
I feel like a stooge
If I leave Baton Rouge
There's no subterfuge
When you're in Baton Rouge
I pilot my luge
Through snowy Baton Rouge
I never got to splooge
on the mayor of Baton Rouge
But I did get to gorge
The tax assessor of St. George
okay I'll keep working on it

Congrats!
I've been in exile for 14 years now.
