I just love how Terry Silver is younger than Ralph Macchio in real life, but played a dude like 15 years older

Is that true?

And LOL at Daniel being under 18 in the third one.

yep

and youll also notice that the "romantic interest" in the movie is actually total platonic

Definitely very underrated, the whole Terry Silver thing is classic, then out comes the old thought to be dead Sensai.

The best thing is that the love interest not love interest had this most epic scene in movie history.

Top that

I think the one with Jackie Chan and the Smith kid is the best.

I like the second one where he actually went to Japan and fought some karate people. The one with the girl was okay too due to mr miyagi being there.

Smith kid was solid.

I know you're joking, but I didn't hate The Karate Kid remake.

They're making another, FYI.

No. I wasn't joking. It's easily the best movie of the series.

More raw emotion and better acting by the Smith kid. The raw emotion was the perfect contrast to Chinese society, where emotion is something you keep to yourself and do your best to not show it.

#3 is good, but certainly not the best.

I love the idea of hiring karate bad boys from magazine ads.

@ anyone thinking the chan/smith kk flick is the best of the bunch. The first three are light years better.

It is probably better than the one with the bitch, FWIW.

I thought you liked the idea of taking little wussies and forcing them to do slave labor for you in exchange for helping them not get beat up?

Not just that but for some reason Terry Silver and Kreese think they have to humiliate a kid who won a tournament that 100 people saw in order to open up more dojos in California. Just open the fricking dojos.
