Well, if you go a little over the speed limit, you can get here for the second half.

I actually never got to watch but the last 10 minutes or so.

When did the phantom offside goal get called back?

Wasn't that the Slovenia match? I can't remember.

Nah, that was a phantom foul against Slovenia. The phantom offside call was about midway through the first half against Algeria.

I usually record Smackdown on my handy-dandy DVR or I'll catch it on a nefarious Web site.

I think wrestling on Syfy should have stuff like robots, vampires, or whatever.

I had to work and couldn't watch until later that evening. My dad was giving me updates during the game. When he said the game was in stoppage time, I thought it was basically over. I was furious. I made a lot of noise in the office when I got the text saying we scored.

Donovan's first touch on the throw from Howard was rather poor. Almost gave the ball away.

My God, 4 years later and I get just as emotional as I did when it happened. Just unreal.

I was still in school at the time (it was summer so I didn't go to school, of course). My dad works night shift and he just went to bed during the day and when we scored I made so much noise he came out and looked at me like wtf?

Those goddamn vuvuzelas.

Also this match showed that in important international matches, the opposing team can manhandle the U.S. team as much as they want with almost no repercussions. Had Suarez bitten a USMNT player in a WC match, he would have only gotten a yellow, and had Joey Barton kneed a Yank in the thigh, the ref would have given him a stern talking to.
