Oh cool. It took you six years to earn that general studies degree. Let's get the whole family together and celebrate! frick that. How about we celebrate when you get a job that provides good pay and benefits

Someone's family didn't love them.

Because they finished school, it's a day to celebrate.

You sound miserable.

Idiot. My son graduated yesterday and I beamed ear to ear. he worked hard to get the degree and we are all proud. Maybe you never got one!

Why do you care if someone's family wants to celebrate them graduating college? For some of us it's a milestone in life, or maybe the kid might be the first to ever complete college in his or her family.

I got drunk as shite with my parents for my graduation. My sincerest apologies, snake23. I knew it would bother you, so we kept it private and within the comforts of our home.

Why are weddings celebrated so much? Big deal.

Why are childbirths celebrated so much? It happens all the time!

By the logic of the OP, being a first round draft pick of the NFL, NBA or MLB would be the only things "worthy" of being celebrated.
