Since when would a respectable scientist cover up studies and data that oppose their own hypotheses?

Research which heaped doubt on the rate of global warming was deliberately suppressed by scientists because it was “less than helpful” to their cause, it was claimed last night.

In an echo of the infamous “Climategate” scandal at the University of East Anglia, one of the world’s top academic journals rejected the work of five experts after a reviewer privately denounced it as “harmful”.

If a "biologist" published a paper claiming the earth was 6000 years old it wouldn't get published either and you'd whine about it being "censored".

Peer Reviewed MFers deal with it.

I don't think any one is surprised any more. I'm a skeptic on man made global warming so I'm already a heretic and knuckeldragger.

Scientists who falsify, obfuscate or hide data should be tarred and feathered.

So you too are too cheap to join the site so you pasted only the two visible paragraphs and none of can read how the drama queen denier resigned his seat on the board because of "McCarthy-like" tactics of the big bad other scientists (iow they were critical of him).
Here's yet another example of how the right will use terms like "McCarthyism" LINK but let a liberal use that term and they'll turn around and defend McCarthy!
Why do Righties get so upset when people show them the same animosity they show others? This guy resigned because people said he was FOS when he said they were FOS. It's like the homophobes. How dare people be intolerant of intolerance!
It's like right wingers have gotten free reign to hate and to call names and now when they're the target, they

So now every time someone criticizes you, it's McCarthyism.

I have read both stories (or at least what was available). Is this 2 different accounts of the same event? They seem totally different.

Since large number of them get their checks from the government. If they fins out it isn't real they are out of a job and/or cash

Billions, if not trillions are at stake for "climate disruption" to be right.
Academia has huge financial incentive in the form of government funding.
The government has a huge financial incentive in the form of selling carbon credits and taxation.
Wall Street (especially Goldman Sachs) has a huge financial incentive (in the form of being the broker to buy and sell carbon credits). Nothing like being a middle man like Goldman Sachs where you get to skim a little off the top from each transaction. Awesome no risk business model.
All this money they have their greedy eyes on resides in the America private sector and the American worker. These are very powerful forces they are fighting against.
As it stands now the war words is currently being won by the American producers. I don't know how long that will last? The producers only hope is that the "climate disruption" scheme continues to be debunked sufficiently enough where the producers vote like minded people into political office.

Do scientists funded by Donor's Fund and/or Donor's Trust Capital (funded by Exon and Koch Brothers) have huge financial incentive?

And I don't believe the financial incentive is the biggest issue.
It is the pre-conceived ideas that these individuals go into their studies with thanks to the all-encompassing idea that a certain theory is unchallengeable in the academic setting.

"Follow the money" usually gets you to the right answer.

That is part of it; however, that is not the primary driving force behind this.
Those that push AGW, or climate change, or climate disruption are doing it primarily for the prospect of societal control. Taken to its "logical" conclusion, accepting AGW and further accepting that anything can be done about it would enable "the experts" to shape economies and societies as they see fit (e.g., population control, restriction of resources, etc.).
THAT's what it's all about.

But "science" isn't supposed to have an agenda. Just supposed to be about the science.
