Headed to Dallas, so I come to the F&D board looking for recs.
Looking for something downtown. Casual place with good food and good beers.

Go to the Pecan Lodge in the Dallas Farmer's Market for BBQ.
The Ginger Man is pretty close to downtown for beer.

Just closed down at that location. Opening in Deep Ellum.
Meddlesome moth for good but a bit pricey food and the best beer selection in Dallas. It's casual.
Ten Bells Tavern in Bishop Arts Oak Cliff is really good food and beer with a big, outdoor patio. Bishop Arts is a really cool area full of restaurants, bars and shops. Its just across the river from Downtown.
Goodfriend for good food and beer....maybe my favorite place in Dallas. But it is in far east Dallas.
Blind Butcher on Lower Greenville is owned by Goodfriend people and is a meat centric food place with decent beer selection. Lower Greenville has 3 other craft beer bars within 100 yards of each other if you wanted to bar hop.

Cane Rosso. They have OUTSTANDING pizza. Ask for the Honey Bastard. mozzarella, habenero honey, bacon marmalade, and prosciutto crudo.
Or you can get this one:

ETA: Deep Ellum isn't "technically" downtown but it's extremely close.

Budget friendly? Mia's, Angry Dog, Cane Rosso, Momo's Pasta and Hard 8 BBQ are some of my favorites.
Stepping it up? Hard to pass my my favorite steak chain, Del Frisco's.

Budget friendly is nice.
And yeah, basically looking for a drinking place that also sells (good) food.
Thanks everyone for the recs
