I was sad Tuesday night as I left Alex Box knowing it may be the last game there this season.

The 27-0 score and combined no hitter cheered me up though.

It definitely gives me the sadz. But we still have a lot to play for. Let's see if the team shows it this weekend. It would be nice taking care of business this weekend and not having to go into the SEC tourney knowing we have to make it to or win the championship game to host.

Tiger baseball should be a damn year-round sport.

The non conf opponents and a national seed ULL will keep LSU from hosting. If upsets LSU could potentially host a super.
Too many SWAC teams and not much to hang your hat on the road. UNO was awful and Purdue was at the bottom of the Big 10. At least next year they play at Minute Maid. It might be time to eliminate the SWAC opponents because it kills the RPI

LSU caps a season-opening 17-game nonconference slate with three games in Houston for the Minute Maid Classic, a yearly event in which teams play at the Houston Astros’ ballpark.

LSU will play Nebraska, Houston and Baylor at the event. Mississippi State and Texas A&M will also be a part of the weekend.

ETA:
Nebraska is 35-17 with an RPI of 32 and 2nd in the Big 10
Houston is 40-13 with an RPI of 5 and 3rd in the AAC
Baylor is 23-27 with an RPI of 94 and 7th in the Big 12 (9 teams)

No sadness. These are LSU fans. Apparently it is a joyous occasion for many when seasons end with teams not achieving preseason fan expectations. The highly anticipated Bitching and moaning season begins immediately thereafter and continues until opening day 2015
