Leg extensions are a shitty exercise and bad for your knees.

I recently replaced them with hack squats, which I like a lot.

Do ANYTHING besides leg extensions. What a terrible exercise.

Are you trying to build mass? How about actual back squats to parallel or lower? Add in some leg presses and lunges and get ready for massive quads.

Interesting, since Arnold said the exact opposite thing.

That's pretty much my setup, add hacks and leg curls.

I can't do leg extensions anymore. Been feeling a terrible pull in my right knee and even when I drop the weight I feel it. Yesterday It felt like it was about to tear some cartilage. frick leg extensions.

I'll try to sub in jack squats or something else from now on.

Lunges, Hack squats, front squats.

I still to extensions to burn out, though.

Honestly, this. Nothing better for building mass. Just don't be a vagina and do those dumpy half squats where all you are doing is bending your knees and all the real lifters are laughing at you behind your back.

I do nothing but back squats 2 to 3 times per week and they seem to work fine. I do regular good old fashioned deadlifts and GHRs for my hamstrings.
