My buddy broke his phone for Verizon. He's wondering if he can just buy a cheap Verizon Go Phone from the grocery store and call Verizon to activate it to his line.
I know Verizon doesn't use SIM cards otherwise this would be fine. Any of you have experience with this?

No, but an easy alternative if it doesn't work is to buy a cheap used phone off of craigslist or EBAY.
