I'm going to be moving to Houston in the next couple of weeks. I'm used to having no choice in any of these things so I'm not sure what to choose with all these options.

Does anyone have suggestions for a power and also cable/Internet company to go with?

I have champion energy and I can give you a code that gives you my employee pricing ($0.067/kWh). For the sake of transparency, I would also get a deal on my bill if you use my code.

hit me up at my screenname at gmail if you are interested.

For cable/interent lock in a good rate with whichever company (I use U-verse), and then switch at the end of the contract. Uverse was super cheap for the first year, but now we are getting raped, but our lease had less than a year left so we could not get any special deals.

Go here and put in your zip code and see the available companies and price structures that suit you.

As far as cable? I personally hate Comcast but that's a personal choice. I do have them for internet but can't stand them for TV. I have Directv for that. Centerpoint is going to be the gas company you set up gas service with.
