Researchers from UW, UC-Irvine & NASA confirm that the western glaciers of Antarticia are melting and losing ice to the sea & have passed the point of no return - no hope.
Some folks north of NOLA sitting on beachfront property & do not realize it. Guess the future of flood insurance rates are set.

With droughts throughout the world, someone should figure out how to make ocean water drinkable and maybe turn deserts back to forest eh?

Maybe we should stop building bases under the ice sheets.

And how much has the temp risen in the last 100 years? A couple degree rise creates a point of no return?

I'm sure desalinization plants aren't hard to build. Theyre just costly for some reason.

Anyone have the literature/records from about 742,974 years ago? I'd like to see the numbers from that year.

Seen the price of beef lately? Up 16% this year. Farmers can't feed cows because of droughts. Arizona has water shortages right now. They're bringing in trucks of water to fill swimming pools. They can't water lawns or wash cars.
I really believe this can be a solution.

Oh no! What are we going to do?
Nothing. Because there's nothing we can do about it.

Or lower for that matter. Hell there is an ancient river bed 10 miles off the coast of Alabama in 60' of water that was a river delta during the ice ages. The earth will continue to have drastic swings warmer and colder whether we like it or not and no damn amount of SUV's is going to make one bit of difference.
ETA: there are also sharks teeth in the hills hundreds of miles from the coast

Yet there was 50% more ice in the Arctic last year than the year before.
And if we're past the point of no return, we might as well go out in a fossil-fueled blaze of glory. Drill baby drill.

They had to find something to combat the glacier growth stories.

When ice cubes melt in a glass of water, does the water level rise?
No.
No.
