I'm just daydreaming here. Because Bo Porter is just terrible.

So last night, the Astros were shut out by a pitcher with a 6+ ERA. I watched the first inning and saw Altuve lead off with a single. Fowler followed up with a triple, only to see Jason Castro look like Kris Karter and Dominguez get robbed and no runs. Oh, how does a team lead off with a single and then a triple and not score? Oh, that's right, because Porter calls a steal because I guess it's just humorous to him to see.

Altuve HAS to be one of the worst baserunners in team history. Bo Porter is calling for double steals later in the game on 0-1 counts with runners in scoring position (obviously) and the Rangers catcher is just mowing runners down because Bo is stupid.

So I'm dreaming here, looking into the future and hoping this is what a lineup in Houston looks like some time in July.

Dexter Fowler
Jose Altuve
Jon Singleton
Matt Dominguez
George Springer
Domingo Santana
Jason Castro
Jonathon Villar
Austin Wates

A guy can dream. We know these KIDS (because that's what they are)are going to have a rough time, but now, I'm on the boat to get these guys up and start getting their feet wet. It's time.

There's nothing that can be done about the bullpen at this point. It's amazing to me so many arms in the bullpen to be AAAA players. Luck? The starters on this team are fairly competent and will only get better with age. The bullpen is definitely something to behold.

If Altuve singled and Fowler tripled, how did Altuve not score?

I'm interested because I'm sure the Cubs could pull something like this off, too.

Because Bo Porter likes to send midgets to try and steal bases on 0-1 counts.

Altuve - Single

caught stealing

Fowler - Triple

Castro kris kartered the place up and looked like if I were in the batter's box trying to hit an MLB pitcher.

Dominguez grounds out.

Typical Astros baseball.

Couple of early hits. Strands them all.

I was flipping in between this and the basketball game.

After the double steal, I didn't even switch it back to the baseball game.

Think wates got hurt again in april. I do think we see JS within the next three weeks. They have to at this point. Porter has very little to work with but he is not qualified for the job. Needs to go after this season.

Boy, you know you suck when your starter strikes out 11 and you still lose

Astros are 12 -42 in their last 54 games going back to last year. .222 clip over roughly a third of a season. Wow. (Source was crawfish boxes commenter)

The comcast TV crew was talking about the season last week in the Detroit series and they were saying that this season has been like an eclipse. Nobody could have guessed that EVERY SINGLE PLAYER on the team would be having their worst individual season at the same time.

(Excluding the rotation, of course)

Bo must go

If you can't run on either Chirinos or Arencibia then you don't need to be running period.

Allure thinks he is vice coleman. Bagwell was a better bas stealer.

It's time to pull Castro out of the 3 hole. He is not getting it done.

At the game. Roof open and that is probably the best thing that will happen tonight. Altuve leading off and Springer right behind him

Dexter Fricking Fowler...a prototypical leadoff man...is our 3 hole hitter tonight boys.

If that doesn't show you the lack of sticks in this lineup, I don't know what does

On the positive side I like what I've seen from Keuchel this year
