Which NFL Rookies do you want on your Fantasy Team this season?

JFF is a gamble, but if he is still around after the first couple rounds I'd risk a pick on him.
Jeremy Hill could be a monster, no one in the Bengals RB stable can take firm control of the reigns.
Mike Evans and Austin Seferian(spelling?)Jenkins could be great picks in Tampa. Only bad part is both of them and VJax take away red zone opportunities from each other because they all can go up and get it.

Sammy Watkins is supposed to be a "can't miss".
Is Coleman the next Jimmy Graham?

Only ones I'd consider as of now(without much thought/research)
Sankey
OBJ
Watkins
Ebron
Benjamin(not a big fan but he's their #1 the day he steps foot in Charlotte, so he's got that going for him)
Terrance West
Jordan Matthews
I will say, if Hill had been drafted to say, the Titans, instead of the Bengals he could put up monster numbers and have a Lacy-like rookie year. But I don't see it with him splitting time with Gio who is a good back as well. That pick was awesome for real life Bengal football, terrible for fantasy for both RBs

San Fran is gonna pound the ball with Hyde. Hill is a better back but worse system for fantasy imo

Jordan Matthews will have the biggest impact at WR

These are your TOP rookie WRs. The #1 guys.
On average, since 2005, the top rookie WR will produce:
66 receptions
908 yards
7 TDs
Or in 1 PPR league formats, 199 points per season. Over the past 3 seasons, 199 points would put a WR slightly outside the Top 20 WRs.
Best case scenario for your rookie WRs? Pick one to be borderline top 20?
Thompkins
Patterson
Austin
Hopkins
Woods
Stills
Wheaton
Dobson
Patton
Allen
Williams

Sammy Watkins also needs a QB who can consistently get him the ball. Manuel will need to improve

Guys I'm in my first dynasty league. Here's my roster. I have the first pick and we have to draft 4 rookies. Who should I target first? I'm thinking Bishop Sankey first I need RB help in the worst way.
QB: Brady/Dalton
RB: Gore/Sproles/P. Thomas/Blount
WR: A. Johnson/Steve Smith/R. White/G. Tate/J. Jones/L. Moore/K. Stills/T. Williams
TE: Gates
Def: 49'ers
K: Viniteri
I might be able to work a trade one of my WR's sans Johnson for TRICH

Sankey short term, but Hill could be the better long term investment.

While I agree that Hill is the better and probably best RB in this draft his situation won't call for him to have the most long term success. Gio is GOOD, and like I said, in real life this will be a deadly one-two punch for years to come, but as far as fantasy goes his numbers will be limited just based on the situation he's in. Same with Hyde to an extent. I feel he is going to be the least effective of the rookies THIS YEAR. but within 2-3 years that position could be solely his. If I had to rank it I'd be
Just next year:
1. Sankey
2. Hill
3. Hyde
For the future and career:
1a. Hyde
1b. Sankey
3. Hill
ETA:
And that list is just based solely on stats and fantasy, not how effective they are.

Marcus Lattimore plays in San Fran

RB values dropped a lot last year and with more teams going with a dual RB systems, it will just get worse. I don't see any rookies that I'm excited about, honestly. Watkins could provide some good ST points, but he will probably be drafted way too high for me to take a shot in the dark.

Ebron will be a monster. Evans also landed in a solid situation.
Posted on 5/13/14 at 7:38 am to bbeck
People said the same about Brandon Pettigrew and Jared Cook. So I wouldn't put much into a rookie TE to go into the season.
Posted on 5/13/14 at 8:22 am to tzimme4
True. I guess I should have said "has the potential to be a monster." Especially the system he will be in.

Sankey, Ebron and Cooks. Not real high on anyone else making an impact. Jeremy Hill will not get enough PT to justify having him on a roster.
